Argentine dancer and choreographer Julio Bocca was awarded the highest distinction from the National Chamber of Deputies, the 'Honorary Mention Deputy National Juan Bautista Alberdi'. This is the highest award granted by the Chamber of Deputies for outstanding contributions to culture, science, politics, or humanism. The emotional ceremony took place in the Hall of Lost Steps of the Legislative Palace. The event was attended by deputies, national and city officials, ambassadors from foreign countries including Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, as well as cultural figures. The award was presented to the dancer by Córdoba deputy Cecilia Ibáñez, who highlighted that Argentina is honoring 'the greatest Argentine in the world of ballet'. In his speech, Bocca expressed deep gratitude and emphasized that one of the key principles his family taught him was respect, mutual help, and the freedom to choose.
